How Burna Boy Clinched Best Global Music Album Award At The Grammy
Damini Ebunoluwa Ogulu, internationally known as Burna Boy on Sunday became the first Nigeria recording artist to win a Grammy Award.
The wining album, ‘Twice As Tall’ was nominated alongside Antibalas, Babel Gilberto, Anoushka Shanka and Tinariwen all in the Best Global Music Album.
However, Burna Boy’s Twice As Tall was the artist’s most anticipated album after the African Giant album in 2019.
Not only did Burna featured seasoned international artists like Stormzy, Chris Martin, Naughty By Nature, Youssou N’Dour and Sauti Sol but the album was divinely graced by world class music producers like Sean Combs (Diddy), Andre Harris, Skread, Mario Winans, Rexxie, leriQ, Mike Dean, and the baddest of all, Timberland.
The 15-track album released mid August last year has gained world class streaming record highs across global digital streaming platforms you can think of.
Earlier today, the Nigerian government has congratulated the Port Harcourt-born world famous on this all important achievement.
Congratulations, African Giant!
